Newborn Portraits

The miracle of new life is so beautifully packaged in a newborn baby. The first three weeks of a newborn's life, when they are so new, is a wonderful yet fleeting time. Preserving this precious time of life in a professional portrait creates a treasure for the new parents as well as something the baby will appreciate as they grow into a child. I was recently photographing an 8 year old's birthday party. One of the Mom's there had had me photograph her daughter as a newborn. She introduced me to her daughter as the photographer who had created those images; the little girl spontaneously hugged me and told me they were her favorite photos in the whole world. It brought tears to my eyes and that is why I love my job.

Snow Fun!

This winter has coated the Hudson Valley in a thick white blanket of snow. Making the Rhinebeck area a winter wonderland! Lots of sledding and skiing going on. The winter landscape created a beautiful backdrop for this happy couple's engagement session. It was a fun session in the snow!
