Rhinebeck Students Raise Funds with Fashion

Rhinebeck Students Raise Funds with Fashion

Faced with escalating costs to have their prom, Rhinebeck High School students came up with a creative solution with the help of Jeanne Dorrer and Dennis Fox, from Dennis Fox Salon and their advisor, Ms. Lisa Hackett, a physical education teacher at RHS. They held a fashion show on April 8, featuring casual wear from Darryl’s, prom wear from Chamonix and Sossi Formals and accessories and make-up from Merriweather, hairstyles by Dennis Fox, flowers by Bella Fiore and photography by Sharp Images Photographic.

The local businesses donated their time and talents, the models were student volunteers and they added a bake sale to create fundraiser where 100% of the funds collected would go towards making their prom affordable.

Student model talent included: Nicole Cauda, Anna Clark, Kayla Critelli, Amelia Cornachinni, Serena Ferrari, Nicole Fasolino, Reed Fox, Isabella Garland, Alexa Ickes, Karen Kirker, Juliette Maugeri, Isabelle O’Leary, Kirsten Schweppe, Kaitlyn Sherwood, Caroline Silta, Nick Sorel, Hannah Tobias, Bianca Traudt, Kaitlyn Tremper, Ally White, Cazz Wills, Damian Lavender, Christian Corratti and Tom Vaccaro.

Student volunteers supporting the show: Show Supervisor: Stephanie Gartner, Stage Lighting: Jake Euell and Casey Loeber, DJ’s Extraordinare: Tyler Femenella and Rick D’Andrea, Concession Stand featuring student chef Dan Griffiths brownies, Christian Gonzalas, Brandon O’Connor and TJ VanDyke and the “money maker” ticket sellers: Clara Woolner, Liz Olsen and Christina Agrawal. A teacher, Mr. Weisenthal was the Host with the Most.

Local businesses, teachers and student volunteers came together to produce a successful and fun fundraiser for Rhinebeck High School.
